Vibration test is taking an increasingly important role in the automotive industry, which is a necessary method for quality guarantee at different stages to identify design deficiencies and improve the durability and reliability of vehicles by simulating the vibration environment during transportation and practical working situation.
During the vehicle transportation, the random vibration characteristics mainly arouse from road surface and tire, the sinusoidal vibration characteristics mainly arouse from the engine, driving power and vehicle body. As a result, the main testing methods used in automotive industry are sinusoidal vibration and random vibration.
During the past few decades, the testing standards and testing methods also developed. Starting from simple sine constant frequency vibration test, sine sweep frequency vibration test and random vibration test, later to combined vibration test.
